Football Game Preview: Pace Patriots vs. Destin Sharks

The Pace Patriots will challenge the Destin Sharks at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Pace has five straight wins, Destin has five straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

Pace is headed into the contest after thoroughly thrashing Tate: they outscored them in every quarter. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Patriots blew the Aggies out of the water with a 41-6 final score. The Patriots might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine games by 22 points or more this season.

Amaya Pablo continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, throwing for 236 yards and three touchdowns while completing 72.2% of her passes, and also punching in a pair of scores on the ground. That's the most passing yards she has posted since back in April of 2024.

Meanwhile, Destin fell victim to Niceville and their airtight defense on Thursday. They came up short against the Eagles, falling 25-0.

Pace's victory was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-1. Those road wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 3.0 points on average over those games. As for Destin, they now have a losing record of 5-6.

Everything came up roses for Pace against Destin in their previous meeting back in February, as the team secured a 38-6 victory. In that match, the Patriots amassed a halftime lead of 26-6, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Monday.
