Basketball Recap: Depaul College Prep Continues Road Dominance on Friday

On Friday, DePaul College Prep faced Chicago Mt. Carmel in a battle between two of the state's top teams. The DePaul College Prep Rams came out on top in a nail-biter against the Chicago Mt. Carmel Caravan, sneaking past 66-63. 66 seems to be a good number for the Rams as the squad scooped up a victory with the same number of points in their previous game.

Chicago Mt. Carmel's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Grant Best, who dropped a double-double on 23 points and 12 boards, and Cameron Thomas, who went 9 of 14 on his way to 22 points. The dominant performance also gave Best a new career-high in assists (eight). Keith Jenkins was another key player, putting up eight points.
