After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Sweetwater, Kearny was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. They came out on top against the Mount Miguel Matadors by a score of 11-8. For the Komets, this counts as revenge for the 13-3 win the Matadors walked away with the last time they faced one another back in April of 2023.

Kearny has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 3-5 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.0 runs over those games. Mount Miguel's loss was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Kearny will take on Montgomery in a tournament on Thursday. As for Mount Miguel, they will face off against Crawford at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
