Football Recap: Trimble County Takes a Loss

Trimble County and Newport Central Catholic squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Trimble County had to settle for second. They were beaten by the Thoroughbreds 42-0. Having soared to a lofty 40 points in the game before, the Raiders' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Trimble County's defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 2-9. As for Newport Central Catholic, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 7-4.

As of now, neither Trimble County nor the Thoroughbreds have any future games scheduled.
