Baseball Game Preview: Evergreen Plainsmen vs. Hudson's Bay Eagles

The Evergreen Plainsmen will venture away from home to take on the Hudson's Bay Eagles at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Evergreen hasn't scored more than two runs for four games straight, a trend the squad is eager to reverse.

Last Thursday, Evergreen came up short against Kelso and fell 6-1.

Meanwhile, Hudson's Bay was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They lost 12-4 to Washougal.

Tanner Koford was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Owen Hewett, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one run.

Evergreen's loss dropped their record down to 5-8. As for Hudson's Bay, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-9.

Evergreen took their win against Hudson's Bay when the teams last played back in March by a conclusive 13-3 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Plainsmen since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
