Basketball Recap: Georgia Military College Bulldogs vs. Johnson County Trojans
Georgia Military College was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 27th straight defeat dating back to last season. They were beaten by the Johnson County Trojans 48-17. The Bulldogs were not able to make up for their loss to the Trojans from their previous meeting back in January of 2024.
Despite the defeat, Georgia Military College saw an underclassman step up: freshman Bella Stubbs posted eight points.
Ziyah Lewis was her usual excellent self, putting up 17 points and eight steals for Johnson County. Lewis is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed eight or more in the last five games she's played. S'Riyah Bostick was another key player, dropping a double-double on 11 points and ten boards.
Georgia Military College's loss dropped their record down to 0-15. As for Johnson County, they pushed their record up to 11-4 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road.
Georgia Military College wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 42-19 defeat against Wilkinson County on the 29th. As for Johnson County, they have also already played their next match, a 64-25 win against Twiggs County on the 4th.
