Softball Recap: Roy Royals vs. Viewmont Vikings
Roy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They fell 13-9 to the Viewmont Vikings. Roy was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Viewmont apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in May of 2019.
Quincy Johnson made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs while going 3-for-4. Kylee Weitzel was another key contributor, scoring two runs while getting on base in three of her five plate appearances.
On Viewmont's side, Molly Roberts was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She struck out eight batters over seven innings while giving up three earned (and six unearned) runs off ten hits. Roberts was also big at the plate, scoring two runs while going 2-for-4.
In other batting news, Viewmont let Ricki Smith and Kennedy Embrey loose on the outfield.
