Volleyball Recap: Rock Island Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Rock Island was the 2-0 winner over East Moline United when they last played one another back in October of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Rocks took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Panthers on Tuesday.

While Rock Island ultimately came up short, they really made East Moline United work, particularly in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 26-24.

Rock Island's loss dropped their record down to 4-9. As for East Moline United, they now have a winning record of 7-6.

Rock Island and East Moline United could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Illinois Rankings. The Rocks will square off against Geneseo at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday with a big rank disadvantage (367 vs. 111). Meanwhile, East Moline United (ranked 344th) will meet Morris (ranked 91st) at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday.
