Basketball Game Preview: Pleasantville Trojans vs. Woodward-Granger Hawks

Pleasantville and Woodward-Granger are an even 3-3 against one another since December of 2018, but not for long. The Pleasantville Trojans will head out on the road to take on the Woodward-Granger Hawks at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Pleasantville is coming into the game on a five-game losing streak.

Last Monday, Pleasantville took a blow against Van Meter, falling 49-13. The contest marked the Trojans' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Meanwhile, Woodward-Granger unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Monday. They were beaten by North Mahaska 66-39. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Hawks have suffered since December 6, 2024.

Woodward-Granger's loss dropped their record down to 10-7. As for Pleasantville, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-8.

Pleasantville strolled past Woodward-Granger in their previous matchup back in January of 2024 by a score of 46-30. Will Pleasantville repeat their success, or does Woodward-Granger have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
