Softball Recap: Farmington Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Win

Farmington waltzed into their contest on Tuesday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They came out on top against the Eagan Wildcats by a score of 7-2. That's more bragging rights for the Tigers, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Kayla Schweich spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered two runs (both of which were unearned) on five hits. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up a single earned run in five consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Lexi Goring, who went 2-for-3 with three runs, one stolen base, and one double. Kayley Schuenemann was another key player, going 3-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.

Farmington's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-1. As for Eagan, their loss dropped their record down to 4-4.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Farmington is set to face off against their familiar foe Lakeville North at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Eagan will take on rival Prior Lake at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
