Kingston hadn't done well against Herculaneum recently (they were 0-4 in their previous four matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Saturday. The Cougars walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Black Cats. This was a revenge game for the Cougars: when they faced off against the Black Cats back in September, they had to take a 3-0 loss.

Kingston easily took the second set, but they let things get interesting in the other. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 25-13.

Kingston's win bumped their record up to 2-17-1. As for Herculaneum, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-15-5.

Kingston wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 defeat against Bismarck on the 11th. As for Herculaneum, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against Grandview on the 13th.
