Basketball Game Preview: Eastview Lightning vs. Farmington Tigers

The Eastview Lightning will square off against the Farmington Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Eastview's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last eight games.

Eastview will bounce into Thursday's contest after beating Lakeville North, who they had gone 1-8 against in their nine prior meetings. Eastview snuck past Lakeville North with a 61-55 victory on Monday.

Meanwhile, Farmington came up short against Rosemount on Monday and fell 79-69. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Thursday (55), the Tigers still had to take the loss.

Farmington has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-7 record this season. Those losses can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.0 points per game. As for Eastview, they pushed their record up to 12-3 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home.

Eastview strolled past Farmington in their previous matchup back in February of 2024 by a score of 75-59. Will Eastview repeat their success, or does Farmington have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
