Softball Recap: Central Takes a Loss

Central lost to Fairfax on Tuesday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Bobcats lost 16-4 to the Stampede.

Arelii Cordero Bustillos made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and got on base in all three of her plate appearances with three runs. Another player making a difference was Logan Wiggins, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

Central's loss dropped their record down to 0-15. As for Fairfax, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 13-6 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Central will challenge rival Metro Tech at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Fairfax is set to face off against their familiar foe Carl Hayden Community at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
