Football Game Preview: Hayden Lobos vs. Cicero Prep Academy Centurions + How To Watch

Hayden is a perfect 4-0 against Cicero Prep Academy since September of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Lobos will welcome the Centurions at 7:00 p.m. Hayden knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 31 points or more in their past seven contests -- so hopefully Cicero Prep Academy likes a good challenge.

Hayden is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Arizona's top teams: St. David, who was ranked third at the time (Hayden was ranked first). The Lobos breezed past the Tigers to the tune of 51-14 on Friday. Fans of the Lobos have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 20+ points.

The match pitted two dominant backs against one another in Kino Lorona and Chase Pacheco. Lorona had a great game and rushed for 193 yards and two TDs while picking up 9.7 yards per carry. Meanwhile, Pacheco did his best for the losing side, picking up 53 receiving yards and one touchdown, while also punching in one score on the ground.

Hayden didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Lorona and Ryan Garner. Lorona has been hot for a while, having also posted two or more rushing touchdowns the last 15 times he's played. He got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Meanwhile, Cicero Prep Academy lost 42-16 to San Manuel two weeks ago. The Centurions have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Cicero Prep Academy's loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Hayden, their win bumped their record up to 7-0.

Everything came up roses for Hayden against Cicero Prep Academy when the teams last played back in October of 2024, as the squad secured a 67-6 victory. Will the Lobos repeat their success, or do the Centurions have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
