Soccer Game Preview: Punahou vs. Kamehameha Kapalama

The Punahou Buff n' Blue will take on the Kamehameha Kapalama Warriors in a holiday battle at at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday. Punahou will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.

Last Monday, everything went Punahou's way against Pac-Five as Punahou made off with a 5-2 win. Considering the Buff n' Blue have won three games by more than two goals this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Meanwhile, Kamehameha Kapalama's undefeated season came to an end after three games on Monday. They and 'Iolani finished up on equal footing with a 1-1 draw. The result (or lack thereof) marked the Warriors' first draw of the season.

Punahou's victory bumped their record up to 4-2-1. Kamehameha Kapalama's draw makes their record 3-0-1 this season.

Punahou beat Kamehameha Kapalama by a goal when the teams last played back in January, winning 2-1. Will Punahou repeat their success, or does Kamehameha Kapalama have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
