Soccer Recap: Andover Comes Up Short

Andover was the 2-0 winner over Eisenhower when they last played one another back in May of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Trojans lost 5-0 to the Tigers on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, Andover can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kansas soccer rankings (they are ranked 36th, while Eisenhower are ranked third).

This is the second loss in a row for Andover and nudges their season record down to 4-7-2. As for Eisenhower, the victory keeps they at an undefeated 12-0.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Andover is set to square off against their familiar foe Salina Central on Thursday. Meanwhile, Eisenhower will take on rival Arkansas City at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
