Softball Recap: Quitman Comes Up Short

Quitman and Seminary squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Quitman had to settle for second. They came up short against the Bulldogs, falling 9-0. Having soared to a lofty 17 runs in the game before, the Panthers' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Quitman's loss dropped their record down to 11-13. As for Seminary, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine games. That's provided a massive bump to their 11-14 record this season.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Quitman beat Seminary by a score of 5-4 on Saturday.
