Recap: Tri-Cities Bulldogs vs. Therrell Panthers
The Tri-Cities Bulldogs came tearing into Tuesday's match with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 21.7 points) and they left with even more momentum. They breezed by Therrell at home to the tune of 63-13. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest victory Tri-Cities has managed all season.
Tri-Cities found their leader in underclassman Alyssia Bandele, who scored 16 points along with eight assists and seven steals. The contest was Bandele's third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Paris Shelton, who scored 14 points along with five rebounds.
Tri-Cities' win bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Therrell, their loss dropped their record down to 1-3.
Tri-Cities will take on Woodward Academy in a holiday battle at 6:00 p.m. on Friday at. As for Therrell, they will head out on the road to face off against KIPP Atlanta Collegiate at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. KIPP Atlanta Collegiate is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'.
