Basketball Game Preview: Woodcreek Timberwolves vs. Lincoln Trojans

The Woodcreek Timberwolves will take on the Lincoln Trojans at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday. Woodcreek is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 60.4 points per game this season.

Last Thursday, Woodcreek came up short against Inderkum and fell 60-48. The loss continues a trend for the Timberwolves in their matchups with the Tigers: they've now lost seven in a row.

Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Will Dennie, who posted 11 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Michael Kirby, Jr., who scored ten points.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Lincoln, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Monday. They blew past St. Mary's 71-49 on Friday. The Trojans have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine matchups by 21 points or more this season.

Lincoln pushed their record up to 16-2 with the win, which was their third straight at home. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 29.7 points. As for Woodcreek, their defeat dropped their record down to 15-4.

Woodcreek was taken down by Lincoln 74-36 when the teams last played back in January of 2024. Thankfully for Woodcreek, Quentin Thompson (who went 11 for 14 en route to 25 points and five rebounds) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
