Nocona won against Alvord last Friday with nine runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Monday. The Indians were the clear victors by a 9-2 margin over the Chico Dragons. Reagan Phipps was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She struck out 11 batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned runs off five hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts in three consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two triples, one run, and one RBI. Those two triples gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Skye Kirby, who scored three runs and stole three bases while going 2-for-3. That's the most stolen bases she has posted since back in February.
