Baseball Game Preview: GlenOak Golden Eagles vs. Lake Blue Streaks

For the second straight game, GlenOak will face off against Lake. The Golden Eagles will venture away from home to take on the Blue Streaks at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. GlenOak is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last ten games.

GlenOak took a six-run loss the last time they faced off against Lake, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Golden Eagles sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 6-5 win over the Blue Streaks on Tuesday.

GlenOak's victory was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Quincy Mazeke, who went 1-for-4 with three RBI, one run, and one double. That's the most RBI Mazeke has posted since back in May of 2024. Kyle Moff was another, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one run.

GlenOak's win was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 19-4. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.3 runs over those games. As for Lake, with the defeat, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 13-9.
