            Basketball Recap: Pelham Hornets vs. Randolph-Clay Red Devils        
        
		
        
        
            Pelham lost against Randolph-Clay back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result  on Wednesday. The Pelham Hornets lost  63-38 to the Randolph-Clay Red Devils. While losing is never fun, the Hornets can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage  in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings  (they are ranked 370th, while the Red Devils are ranked 105th).

 Pelham lost  despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being   Micheal Battle, who  posted eight points and eight  rebounds. Battle is  on a roll when it comes to  boards, as he's  now  pulled down eight or more in the last three games he's  played.  Kevin Taylor was another key player,  putting up eight  points in addition to eight  rebounds and three  blocks.
 It was another big night for  Tyrion Smith, who  went 6 of 10  en route to 15 points for Randolph-Clay. Another player making a difference was  Jaleen Gibson, who  put up seven  points along with seven  assists and five  boards.
Pelham's defeat dropped their record down to 7-9. As for Randolph-Clay, they pushed their record up to 18-2 with the  victory, which was their tenth straight  at home.
 Pelham has already played their next contest,  a  58-37  win against Quitman County on the 30th. As for Randolph-Clay, they also  didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next  game,  a  74-24  victory against Pataula Charter Academy on the 31st.
