Fort Hancock has gone 3-0 against Marfa recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Fort Hancock Mustangs will be taking part in a tournament against the Marfa Shorthorns at 1:00 p.m. Fort Hancock is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 58.2 points per game this season.

Fort Hancock will head out to face Marfa after giving up their first home loss of the season on Tuesday. Fort Hancock fell to Tornillo 55-51. The Mustangs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Patrick Hernandez, who went 7 for 16 on his way to 20 points and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Max Apodaca, who posted eight points in addition to seven boards and three steals.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Marfa). They came out on top against Sanderson by a score of 40-31 on Saturday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Shorthorns.

Marfa's win bumped their record up to 2-4. As for Fort Hancock, their loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 9-5.

Everything came up roses for Fort Hancock against Marfa in their previous matchup back in November, as the team secured a 68-26 victory. In that contest, Fort Hancock amassed a halftime lead of 36-12, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Thursday.
