Basketball Recap: Stoneman Douglas Piles Up the Points Against Spanish River

It's playoff time, and Stoneman Douglas had no trouble coming through when it counted. They took their contest on Monday with ease, bagging a 67-39 victory over the Spanish River Sharks. 67 seems to be a good number for the Eagles as the squad scooped up a win with the same number of points in their previous game.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Stoneman Douglas to victory, but perhaps none more so than Brady Kuebler, who went 5 of 9 en route to 17 points and three steals. Kuebler's morning made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ayden Mclean, who went 6 for 15 on his way to 14 points.

When it comes to explaining why Spanish River lost, don't look at Devan Degiuseppe. Despite the final result, he posted 31 points. With that strong performance, Degiuseppe is now averaging an impressive 15.6 points per game.

Stoneman Douglas is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a massive bump to their 10-12 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.0 points per game. As for Spanish River, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-15 record this season.

Stoneman Douglas has already played their next contest, a 63-59 defeat against Park Vista on the 5th. Spanish River does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
