Oceanside Collegiate Academy put another one in the bag on Monday to keep their perfect season alive. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 4-3 W against the Beaufort Eagles. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 9-2 last Thursday.

Tyler Mellison looked comfortable as he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one hit any time he's pitched this season.

At the plate, Scott Henry was excellent, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3. That stolen base was his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Aiden Brusman, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI.

Oceanside Collegiate Academy pushed their record up to 7-0 with the win, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.5 runs over those games. As for Beaufort, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-5.

Coming up, Oceanside Collegiate Academy will be playing at home against Covenant Day at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The last five games Covenant Day has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Beaufort, they will head out on the road to challenge James Island at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average, (James Island 3.2, Beaufort 4) so any runs scored will be well earned.
