Basketball Recap: Williamsburg Wildcats vs. Clinton-Massie Falcons
Williamsburg unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They were just a bucket shy of victory on Tuesday and fell 45-44 to the Clinton-Massie Falcons. The match was a 16-16 toss-up at halftime, but the Wildcats couldn't quite close it out.
Clinton-Massie was led to victory by Zander Mills and Avden Faucett. Mills went 5 for 9 en route to 14 points, while Faucett scored nine points plus five rebounds and four steals.
The win made it two in a row for Clinton-Massie and bumps their season record up to 2-0.
Williamsburg will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Blanchester at 7:00 p.m. on December 17th. As for Clinton-Massie, they will challenge New Richmond at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
