Recap: Cummings Cavaliers vs. Northwood Chargers
After some red-hot offensive attacks in their last six matches, the Cummings Cavaliers finally came back down to earth on Friday. They were dealt a 72-18 loss at the hands of Northwood. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Cummings has scored all season.
Ja'Kway Robertson and Jayden Everett certainly did their best on Friday to avoid the loss. Robertson scored six points, while Everett scored no points.
Cummings' loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 11-7. As for Northwood, they pushed their record up to 19-3 with that victory, which was their 17th straight on the road dating back to last season.
Cummings will challenge Jordan-Matthews at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Hopefully Jordan-Matthews focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 13 on Friday. As for Northwood, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Chatham Central at 7:30 p.m. Northwood knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past seven contests -- so hopefully Chatham Central likes a good challenge.
