Beaverton and Shepherd are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2020, but not for long. The Beaverton Beavers will be playing in front of their home fans against the Shepherd Bluejays at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Beaverton will be strutting in after a victory while Shepherd will be coming in after a defeat.

Beaverton will bounce into Thursday's game after beating Meridian, who they had gone 0-9 against in their nine prior meetings. Beaverton came out on top against Meridian by a score of 44-34 on Tuesday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Beavers.

Meanwhile, Shepherd was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They were three points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 51-48 heartbreaker at the hands of Standish-Sterling. While losing is never fun, the Bluejays can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 569th, while the Panthers are ranked 120th).

Shepherd's defeat dropped their record down to 4-15. As for Beaverton, their win bumped their record up to 7-11.

Beaverton beat Shepherd 51-44 in their previous meeting back in February of 2024. Will Beaverton repeat their success, or does Shepherd have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
