Preview: Oologah Mustangs vs. Ada Cougars
The Oologah Mustangs will head out on the road to face off against the Ada Cougars at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
McLain Science & Tech typically have all the answers at home, but on Friday Oologah proved too difficult a challenge. Oologah strolled past McLain Science & Tech with points to spare, taking the game 37-19. The victory was just what Oologah needed coming off of a 45-21 defeat in their prior game.
Meanwhile, in a tight game that could have gone either way, Ada made off with a 28-27 victory over Broken Bow. The victory was just what Ada needed coming off of a 40-7 defeat in their prior match.
Ada can attribute much of their success to Kolten Carlock, who rushed for 120 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 7.5 yards per carry. Fisher Marr was in the mix too, providing Ada with two touchdowns.
Oologah's victory bumped their record up to 5-6. As for Ada, they have yet to lose a game at home this season, leaving them with a 9-1 record.
Oologah came up short against Ada in their previous matchup back in November of 2017, falling 27-20. Can Oologah avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
