Baseball Recap: West Port Wolf Pack vs. Lake Weir Hurricanes

West Port was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat. They lost 9-3 to the Lake Weir Hurricanes. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Hurricanes this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 6-0 two weeks ago.

Kaiden Lavery was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he pitched five innings while giving up just two earned (and five unearned) runs off five hits.

On the hitting side, West Port saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jacob Leppert, who went 2-for-4 with one double and one RBI. Those two hits gave Leppert a new career-high.
