Momence won the last time they faced Kankakee Trinity Academy and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Momence Athletics walked away with a 2-0 victory over Kankakee Trinity Academy. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Momence Athletics.

Momence easily took the first set, but they let things get interesting in the other. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 25-18.

Maryah Crite paced Momence's offense, picking up eight kills. Crite got some help from Marissa Lambert and her four assists. Lambert was also solid from the service line: she led the team with five aces.

Momence's win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Kankakee Trinity Academy, they are on a four-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Coming up, Momence will host Tri-Point at 6:00 p.m. on the 4th. As for Kankakee Trinity Academy, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 loss against St. Anne on the 28th.
