Softball Recap: West Bridgewater Takes a Loss

If West Bridgewater was riding high fresh off their 10-4 takedown of South Shore Vo-Tech last Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Wildcats fell 7-2 to the Rockland Bulldogs on Wednesday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Wildcats of the 4-3 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2024.

Alanna Fidalgo was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring a run and stealing two bases while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games she's played. Regan Bryant was another key player, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 3-for-3.

West Bridgewater's loss dropped their record down to 2-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. West Bridgewater will welcome Bourne at 3:45 p.m. on Thursday. As for Rockland, they will host Sandwich at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
