Recap: East Marion Eagles vs. West Marion Trojans
The East Marion Eagles can finally bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Friday. They managed a 39-34 win over West Marion. The win was just what East Marion needed coming off of a 58-24 defeat in their prior match.
East Marion got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Kylie Watts out in front who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 12 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Adrinae Aikens, who scored 9 points along with 14 rebounds.
The last time East Marion lost on the road was back last Tuesday. Having now won three straight away contests, they've pushed their record up to 1-3. As for West Marion, they now have a losing record at 2-3.
Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Columbia the next time they take the court. East Marion will head out to face Columbia at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while West Marion will host them at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
