Soccer Recap: Legacy Comes Up Short

Legacy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the South East Jaguars. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 563rd, while the Jaguars are ranked 70th).

Legacy's loss dropped their record down to 8-8-4. As for South East, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 12 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 18-4-1 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Legacy will take on Roosevelt at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for South East, they will be playing at home against Bell at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. South East is coming into the match hot, having won their last five games.
