Basketball Recap: Taft Comes Up Short

Taft lost against Edna back in December of 2016 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The game between the Taft Greyhounds and the Edna Cowboys didn't end well, with the Taft Greyhounds falling 63-45.

Taft has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 12-10 record this season. As for Edna, they pushed their record up to 2-1 with the victory, which was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Taft will welcome Odem at 1:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Edna, they will challenge Rice Consolidated at 2:00 p.m. on Friday. Rice Consolidated knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past five contests -- so hopefully Edna likes a good challenge.
