Hardin came out on top against Anahuac on Monday thanks in part to Jayden Phelps's efforts. Phelps struck out ten batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned runs off five hits (and only one walk), good enough for us to rate the performance as the best he's had all season long. Those ten strikeouts gave him a new career-high.

Phelps' strong effort led Hardin over Anahuac and he'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
