The match was a true back-and-forth as no team won consecutive sets, but in the end it was Preston who won the one that mattered. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 23-25, 25-20, 23-25, 15-8.

Meanwhile, Marsh Valley lost 3-0 to Snake River on Thursday.

While Marsh Valley was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Snake River's winning margin in every set. The final score came out to 25-9, 25-11, 25-16.

Marsh Valley has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last seven matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-14 record this season. As for Preston, their victory bumped their record up to 15-7.

Everything went Preston's way against Marsh Valley when the teams last played back in September, as Preston made off with a 3-0 win. Will the Indians repeat their success, or do the Eagles have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
