Volleyball Recap: St. Agnes Aggies vs. St. Croix Lutheran Crusaders
St. Agnes lost against St. Croix Lutheran back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Aggies fell just short of the Crusaders by a score of 3-2. While the Aggies didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Crusaders 25-19 in the first set.
St. Agnes started the match hot and won the first two sets, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The final score came out to 19-25, 21-25, 25-16, 25-20, 15-12.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead St. Croix Lutheran to victory, but perhaps none more so than Olivia Footh, who had 16 digs and two aces. That's the most digs Footh has posted over her last nine contests. Another player making a difference was Ellen Dobashi Nunes, who had 27 digs and three assists.
This is the second loss in a row for St. Agnes and nudges their season record down to 9-7. As for St. Croix Lutheran, they pushed their record up to 14-7 with the victory, which was their third straight at home.
St. Agnes has already played their next match (against St. Croix Prep), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for St. Croix Lutheran, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 3-1 win against Liberty Classical Academy on the 2nd.
