Volleyball Recap: Rio Vista Now 3-1 over Last Four Games

Rio Vista's tournament run continued when they took on Village Tech on Saturday. The Eagles came out on top against the Viper Squid by a score of 2-0.

Courtney Cooley paced Rio Vista's offense, picking up ten kills. Cooley were helped by Emma Niemtschk and Gator Dayhuff, who contributed eight assists each. Dayhuff also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Kyndal Cooley, racking up two apiece.

Rio Vista is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-5 record this season. As for Village Tech, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Rio Vista will head out to challenge Hico at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Village Tech, they are packing up and heading out for their first away game of the season: they will face off against Oakridge at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
