Softball Recap: St. Anthony Comes Up Short

St. Anthony was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 9-0 to the St. Paul Swordsmen. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Saints of the 12-2 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2024.

St. Anthony's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for St. Paul, their victory ended a six-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 8-9.

Coming up, St. Paul will welcome Saint Joseph at 3:15 p.m. on Monday. St. Anthony will be paying especially close attention to St. Paul's match: after St. Paul faces off against Saint Joseph, they'll take on St. Anthony again at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
