Basketball Recap: Man Takes a Loss

Man was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They were dealt a 58-20 loss at the hands of the Tug Valley Panthers. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Hillbillies this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 68-13 last Friday.

Makenzie Browning continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Tug Valley, going 6 for 14 on her way to 16 points and six steals. Browning is crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Haven Deskins was another key player, putting up 11 points and four steals.

Man's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Tug Valley, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 8-2.

Man will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Tolsia at 6:00 p.m. on January 16th. As for Tug Valley, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 47-37 win against WestSide on the 4th.
