Soccer Recap: Sanderson Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Sanderson managed to keep up with Broughton until halftime on Monday, but things quickly went downhill from there. The Spartans lost 4-1 to the Capitals. While losing is never fun, Sanderson can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 112th, while Broughton are ranked 33rd).

Sanderson's goal came courtesy of Henry Blackburn, who's now up to eight this season.

Sanderson's loss dropped their record down to 5-3-3. As for Broughton, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-2-2.

Sanderson has already played their next match, a 5-2 victory against East Wake on the 17th. As for Broughton, they also wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next contest, a 1-0 win against Enloe on the 16th.
