Baseball Recap: Navarro Panthers vs. Fredericksburg Billies

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Navarro had no problem doing just that on Saturday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 4-3 win over the Fredericksburg Billies. This was a revenge match for Navarro, as the team was forced to settle for a 10-0 defeat when these two played on Friday.

Austin Davidson spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered three earned runs on six hits.

On the hitting side, Navarro saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Caleb Wood, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI. Another player making a difference was Colt Brown, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

Even though they lost, Fredericksburg was hitting in the alleys and finished the game with four doubles. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Navarro didn't hit any.
