 Mechanicsville scored the most  runs they've had all season to find success  on Monday. Everything went their way against the Highland Springs Springers as the Mechanicsville Mustangs made off with  a  22-5 win. Considering Mechanicsville has won eight contests by more than six  runs this season, Monday's  blowout was nothing new.
  Aubrey Edmonds and  Ella Hagen did most of the damage at the plate:  Edmonds  went 3-for-4 with a  home run, five  RBI,  and two  runs, while  Hagen  went 3-for-5 with a  home run, four  runs,  and four  RBI. Another player making a difference was  Mckinley Duke, who  scored three  runs while going 4-for-4.
 Mechanicsville's victory  ended  a  five-game drought at home  and  bumped them up to 8-11. As for Highland Springs, they have  been struggling recently as they've  lost three of their last four games,  which put a noticeable dent in their 10-10-1 record  this season.
 Mechanicsville will head out on the road to  square off against  Hanover at 6:00  p.m.  on Wednesday. Hanover will roll in looking for their  18th straight  win, something Mechanicsville surely won't give up without a fight. As for Highland Springs, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Matoaca at 6:00  p.m.  on Wednesday.
