Baseball Recap: Wiregrass Falls to Abbeville Christian Academy in First Game of Season

Wiregrass had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They lost 9-3 to the Abbeville Christian Academy Generals on Tuesday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Kings of the 12-1 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2022.

Wiregrass saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Zach Crisler, who scored a run while going 2-for-4.

The victory got Abbeville Christian Academy back to even at 1-1.

Looking ahead, Wiregrass will be playing at home against Abbeville Christian Academy at 4:00 p.m. on February 25th. Abbeville Christian Academy has already played their next matchup (against Bessemer Academy), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
