Volleyball Game Preview: Newcastle Bobcats vs. Perrin-Whitt Pirates

On Tuesday, Newcastle came up short against Garner and fell 3-1. The loss continues a trend for the Bobcats in their meetings with the Longhorns: they've now lost three in a row.

Newcastle might've come up short, but they didn't make it easy on Garner: every set was decided by three points or less. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 22-25, 25-23, 25-22.

Meanwhile, Perrin-Whitt entered their tilt with Bryson on Tuesday with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Cowboys.

Perrin-Whitt had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 28-30, 25-21, 25-23, 25-18.

Perrin-Whitt's win bumped their record up to 25-11-2. As for Newcastle, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-9.
