Basketball Game Preview: Hull-Daisetta Bobcats vs. Brookeland Wildcats

Last Friday, Hull-Daisetta came up short against Leggett and fell 62-50. The Bobcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Brookeland waltzed into their game on Friday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They couldn't have asked for a better start to 2025 than the 68-15 blowout they got against the Yellowjackets. The Wildcats have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 15 matches by 20 points or more this season.

Brookeland's victory was their 16th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 21-4. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 28.3 points per game. As for Hull-Daisetta, their loss dropped their record down to 3-9.

Hull-Daisetta couldn't quite finish off Brookeland when the teams last played back in December of 2016 and fell 45-43. Can Hull-Daisetta avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
