League recap: Madera overpowering for Franklin Regional in past week

Logan Madera was the best pitcher in the league this week. He accumulated one win and 12 strikeouts.

Nick Vento was on fire this week, as he led the league with a .455 average, one home run and five RBIs. Meanwhile, Franklin Regional put together a 2-0 week.

Kiski Area's pitching was especially stingy this week, allowing 10 hits and three walks to lead the league in both categories. The Cavaliers have given up a mere 124 hits on the year in addition to compiling 92 strikeouts. Brandon Smail is the leader in that category with 27 Ks on the season.

The Panthers' Danny Mcgrath led the league with six hits this week. His 30 hits for the year are first in the league, and he boasts a .411 batting average.
