Volleyball Recap: Friday's Win Is Forge Christian's Seventh in Last Eight Outings

While Forge Christian didn't have the best season last year (they finished 11-14), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Yuma Outlaws on Friday. That's more bragging rights for the Fury, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

The win didn't come easy: Yuma scored at least 18 points in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 22-25, 25-21, 25-18.

Forge Christian can attribute much of their success to Charlotte Bisque, who had ten digs and one assist. That's the most digs Bisque has posted over her last six matchups. Maddie Saba also deserves some recognition as she served her first aces of the season.

Forge Christian was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 18 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least six aces every time they've taken the court this season.

Forge Christian has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season. As for Yuma, their loss dropped their record down to 2-6.

Coming up, Forge Christian will head out on the road to square off against The Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Yuma, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 3-0 defeat against Sterling on the 20th.
