Volleyball Game Preview: Viewmont Vikings vs. Woods Cross Wildcats

Viewmont is 1-9 against Woods Cross since August of 2021 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Vikings will take on the Wildcats at 6:30 p.m.

Viewmont came up short against Brighton on Thursday, falling 3-0.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-16, 25-21.

Meanwhile, Woods Cross faced Bountiful in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. The Wildcats were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Redhawks. The victory was familiar territory for the Wildcats, who have now won five contests in a row.

Woods Cross never let Bountiful on the board, but things got pretty close in the third set. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-11, 25-22.

Viewmont's loss dropped their record down to 5-12. As for Woods Cross, their win bumped their record up to 15-1.

Viewmont suffered a grim 3-0 defeat to Woods Cross in their previous meeting back in August. Can the Vikings avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
